there are still six boxes left to unpack. I'm terrible, I know.
But actually, it's mostly clothes and books. I'm waiting on a dresser to unpack my clothes, and my boxes are in the way of my bookshelf so I can't put my books away. Alas, I am stuck in chaos until... hopefully tomorrow, when my desser is finished.
Let's see, summer update.... I've been to many grad parties. Many. And several graduations. Celebrated a few birthdays, eaten some delicious Japanese food.
Right now, my arms are all scratched up from hopping my backyard wall to get in last night. If I stay out late, Mom locks the door, and I get to say hi to my dogs in the backyard if I want to get inside.
I'm working at the Country Club down the street. I think I said that in my last blog though. It's exhausting, but the pay is good. And I usually only work about twice a week.
I've got five costumes to make in the next four weeks, for friends and stuff. It will be an interesting few weeks, scrambling for fabric. I'll probably take over the living room, put my cutting board on the floor and the sewing machine on a collapsable table, and work from eight in the morning until two in the morning, and drive my family crazy.
I had my birthday with my family a couple weeks ago. I got a PlayStation3. I can't stop playing it. It's like my new baby. I think my laptop would be jealous, if it had feelings.
Other than that, I've been watching cartoons, catching up on them before their big summer movies come out. All the books I wanted to read are trapped in a box. But as soon as my first pay check comes in, I'm ordering the first set of Torrey texts, and I can begin reading again!

DX No one is using these
no one's posted and it's been over a week of summer! Come on, guyssss. I want to know what you are doingg. There's even a lack of facebook updates! I hope that means you are having fun vacations.
I scored a summer job, catering at the country club. It sucks. I came home last night from an 8-hour shift in so much pain I didn't want to do anything but veg out on the couch and eat ice cream. It wasn't even sore, like I worked hard. I just ached all over, like I'd been pressed in some sort of machine.
Other than that, summer is good. I'm enjoying it. Getting ready to buy the first of many text books and begin summer reading!
PS;; it's my birthday tomorrow. I already feel old. Why must we consistently get older?

Unpacking...
I feel like I will be unpacking all summer, and I won't finish until it's time to repack for school.
Today I went through two boxes. One was stuffed animals, so they just got dumped on my bed. The other was video games and other mildly related items, like movies and such. I have to go through and clean out my dresser, drawers, and bookshelves before I can unpack anything else, really. I don't know where I kept everything before I went to college, but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere now that I'm back.
Most of my posters are back up. It feels nice and homey in my room now. The walls look chaotic and colorful again, rather than drab and boring beige. It's a nice feeling.
I don't know how I'm going to clean out my bookshelves though. I have too may books. Way too many. And I know I'm going to be buying a ton more this summer. But, I am excited for Chaucer and Dante. Those will be good additions to the collection.
I also saw Prince of Persia today. It was better than I thought it would be. The ending blew me away, to be sure. And it really felt like a video game turned movie. Reminded me a bit of Assassin's Creed. Going to have to go buy some games now.
But I really liked the theme of family ties, blood or not. It was cool. But I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll say no more. :)
